What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

This course will focus on improving speaking and listening skills of those who have at least two years' experience of studying Italian. Parts 4,5, and 6 are only for students who have completed parts 1, 2, and 3 previously.

What topics will I study?

The aim is to consolidate and reinforce previously studied grammar (present, past, imperfect and future tenses) to improve confidence in speaking and listening.

Content is flexible and may change to meet the needs of the students

What are the entry requirements?

You will have completed two years or equivalent study of the Italian Language 

What facilities are there?

Learners will be given a college ID badge and have access to all college facilities, including learning centres and computers. 

What can the course lead on to?

Students can either progress to the Advanced class or choose another language course. 

Are there any additional costs?

If learners wish to purchase a textbook, grammar resource or dictionary to help with home study, your lecturer can advise you when you come to class.


It is important that you apply and pay for your course at least one week before the course starts to ensure that you will have access to all the facilities and resources in your first week.
Please be aware that there are no car parking facilities at Exeter College city centre sites, but public car parks are available across the city.
