What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

This course is aimed at electrical maintenance technicians/engineers who need to work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). The course primarily uses Siemens PLCs, other brands may be catered for by special arrangement.

What topics will I study?

To be confirmed. 

What are the entry requirements?

Candidates will have been working in the industry and have access to working with PLCs. A good understanding of current industry regarding PLCs.

What facilities are there?

A new £11.3 million Technology Centre at Monkerton opened in September 2012. The centre combines the training and teaching of aerospace, engineering and automotive students with access to state of the art equipment within world class facilities. You will also have access to a learning resource centre.

What can the course lead on to?

Working to a higher standard within the industry.
