What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?
A hospitality team member can work in arange of establishments, including bars, restaurants, cafés, hotels or contract caterers. The role is very varied and although team members tend to specialise in an area they also have to be adaptable and ready to support teams across the business. The most important part of the role is developing fantastic skills and knowledge such as recognising customer needs, knowing how to match them to products and services and making them feel welcomed and looked after.
What topics will I study?

What are the entry requirements?
Learners ideally need to have Maths and English GCSE at grade C/4 or equivalent. Support can be delivered either prior to your Apprenticeship via a traineeship or during the delivery of your programme.
What facilities are there?
The Laurence Building boasts new facilities throughout including an IT suite, modern kitchens and a stunning restaurant within the faculty; as well as being located in comfortable and pleasant surroundings.
What can the course lead on to?
This course will launch you directly into the workplace and provides an excellent way to build your career and progress to further training and education.
Are there any additional costs?
You will need to buy a basic clothing kit, knife set and textbook.
What support can I get?
You will have a dedicated Skills Officer who you can contact at any time. They will visit you in the workplace every 10 weeks to carry out a progress review with you and your employer.
