What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

For complete beginners with no prior knowledge or those who wish to brush up their skills.  You will learn the language you need for basic survival in German speaking countries, including how to ask for and give basic information and have short conversations in a variety of settings.

What are the entry requirements?

None – the course is for complete beginners.

What facilities are there?

The college library/learning centres are available for use by students. There are resources, including films, on the College portal. 

What can the course lead on to?

You will be able to hold short conversations and ask for information in German. You can progress onto other German courses at the college.

Are there any additional costs?

If learners wish to purchase a textbook, grammar resource or dictionary to help with home study, your lecturer can advise you when you come to class.
