What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

This is a course for those that have already attended the beginners course or already has a basic knowledge of French. You will build on your knowledge and skills enabling you to cope with more challenging everyday situations and you will gain more confidence in speaking and listening.

You will cover the following (format is flexible and may vary):

  • Daily routine
  • Places in France
  • Describing towns
  • Comparative and superlative
  • French speaking countries
  • Describing past events
  • The imperfect tense
  • Describing people
  • Talking about your childhood
  • Stolen property
  • Returning goods and getting your money back

 

What are the entry requirements?

You will have completed 1 year or equivalent study of the French Language.

What facilities are there?

Learners will be given a college ID badge and have access to all college facilities, including learning centres and computers. 

What can the course lead on to?

You can either progress with French or choose another language course.

Are there any additional costs?

If learners wish to purchase a textbook, grammar resource or dictionary to help with home study, your lecturer can advise you when you come to class.
