What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

This course is for those with some experience of French who would like to learn at a faster pace. The course is designed to lead on to French Beginners Part 3 in the Summer term.

What topics will I study?

• Pronunciation introduction
• Numbers 1 – 100
• giving personal information about names and addresses
• giving basic information about colleagues, friends and relatives
• talk about jobs, age, marital status
• getting something to eat and drink in a bar
• obtaining something to eat in a restaurant
• understanding menus
• food vocabulary
• learning about currency

What are the entry requirements?

As above.

What facilities are there?

Learners will be given a college ID badge and have access to all college facilities, including learning centres and computers. 

What can the course lead on to?

The course is designed to lead on to French Beginners Part 3 in the summer term

Are there any additional costs?

If learners wish to purchase a textbook, grammar resource or dictionary to help with home study, your lecturer can advise you when you come to class.

It is important that you apply and pay for your course at least one week before the course starts to ensure that you will have access to all the facilities and resources in your first week.
Please be aware that there are no car parking facilities at Exeter College city centre sites, but public car parks are available across the city.
