What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

For complete beginners to DSLR photography, although basic computer literacy is required. We will be exploring ISO, shutter speeds and apertures and how these work together. We will be looking at what makes good composition and how to make best use of available light. Please bring your own DSLR camera, USB lead and manual to the first session. No compact cameras please.

You will:

  • Learn to use semi automatic and manual modes
  • Learn how apertures, shutter speeds and ISO's work together
  • Improve your composition skills
  • Improve your use of natural lighting in any situation

Learners will be given a college ID badge and have access to all college facilities, including learning centres and computers.
