This 10 week course is designed for those who have completed the Beginners course, and those who are already writing but are looking for further guidance.
As with the Beginners course you will follow a scheme of work with different themes each week.
You will produce a body of work through the term and, as with the Beginners, homework is set and read aloud each week. Peer evaluation is very useful, and a class anthology is produced at the end of the term.

What do our students think?

Thanks for a really great course – I feel inspired about writing again."

The tutor's passion for creative writing and her dedication to her students were evident in all three courses I attended. I thoroughly enjoyed all of her classes, made improvement and gained confidence as a creative writer and met many new friends as well. Without her enthusiasm, encouragement and support I would never have enrolled for an English Literature and Creative Writing degree after the advanced course ended. She is a motivational and inspirational tutor.”

It is important that you apply and pay for your course at least one week before the course starts to ensure that you will have access to all the facilities and resources in your first week.
Please be aware that there are no car parking facilities at Exeter College city centre sites, but public car parks are available across the city.
