What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

The Certifi cate provides a broad knowledge of skills to help you be more eff ective in specific management areas, with increased focus on managing teams, individuals and projects. This qualification has been developed to support managers in understanding the foundation of key management principles, the way organisations operate, the nature of teams in the workplace, and how these can be managed to achieve results. This qualifi cation identifies approaches to managing risk and responding to the needs and expectations of stakeholders. The skills a manager will learn, will not only enable them to improve own working practice, but will impact on the achievement of project outcomes.

Classroom delivery from experienced managers and tutors with activities included throughout to support learners in being able to complete written assignments.

What are the entry requirements?

Five GCSEs at Grade C and above although other relevant or prior work experience may also be considered as an alternative. Learners will need to have access to a PC with internet connection to access online resources and complete assignments. CMI application form and interview with CMI tutor required.

What facilities are there?

All learners attending the course will have access to an online classroom which contains resources to support unit delivery as well as gaining CMI membership allowing them to use the CMI ManagementDirect library of resources.

What can the course lead on to?

Learners may also wish to further their ongoing personal and professional development by accessing other CMI qualifications, such as the CMI Level 5 Qualifications in Management and Leadership with the goal of becoming a Chartered Manager.
