What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?
This Apprenticeship is aimed at people starting out in an office based role and who wish to specialise in business and administration functions. The qualification is designed for those who are working in a junior/general administration based role. A Level 2 Apprenticeship can take up to 1 year to 2 years to complete depending on your prior achievements and experience and attending college for around half a day per week in term time. The remaining time will be spent carrying out your duties and being assessed in your workplace.

When on your college day-release, you will be supported by your Skills Trainer. You will spend the remainder of the week in the workplace. Whilst at work, your Skills Officer will visit you and carry out assessments.
What experiences will I get?
You will benefit from links with companies across Devon and gain invaluable skills within industry.
What are the entry requirements?
Every employer is different and therefore the entry requirements can vary. As a guide you ideally need GCSE grade 4 or above in English and maths and in some cases ICT, however, we will work with you and provide additional support in order to help you achieve the functional skills element or GCSE requirements of the Apprenticeship. Support can be delivered either prior to your Apprenticeship via a traineeship or during the delivery of your programme.
What facilities are there?
You will have access to a learning resource centre. There is a refectory in Victoria House.

On successful completion of the Apprenticeship framework at Level 2 you may be able to progress to a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.

What support can I get?
You will have a dedicated Skills Officer who you can contact at any time. They will visit you in the workplace every 10 weeks to carry out a progress review with you and your employer.
