What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

A practical course for beginners covering the skills required to perform basic brickwork tasks. You will need to wear solid shoes and overalls/old clothing. All materials provided.

Students will have informal assessment and feedback from the tutor and this will be recorded on an individual learning plan. Students will not have access to machinery during classes.

What are the entry requirements?

All abilities are welcome. All students on construction courses are required to have their own steel-toed shoes. Overalls or a change of clothing must be brought to each lesson.


What facilities are there?

Learners will be given a college ID badge and have access to all college facilities, including learning centres and computers. 

What can the course lead on to?

There are many construction courses. You could try Carpentry or Creative Woodwork.

Please be aware that there are no car parking facilities at Exeter College city centre sites, but public car parks are available across the city.
