What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

This course is designed for technicians who maintain and repair hybrid technology vehicles (not the actual hybrid system). It contains the knowledge required to work safely around a vehicle's hybrid system, whilst carrying out repairs or maintenance.

Dates are as follows:

What topics will I study?

You will follow examples given in the course manual, working at your own pace, with guidance from an experienced member of staff who will be available at all times to help you gain confidence quickly.

What are the entry requirements?

A good understanding of current automotive technology and electrical principals.

What facilities are there?

A  £11.3 million Technology Centre at Monkerton opened in September 2012. The centre combines the training and teaching of aerospace, engineering and automotive students with access to state of the art equipment within world class facilities. You will also have access to a learning resource centre.
