This course is aimed at anyone who has begun to learn a few chords and maybe a little more. The ‘Absolute Beginners’ course only runs in the Autumn term.

Overview

We advise booking early to avoid disappointment.

Learn correct technique and basic theory from the start with a wide variety of songs. No need to read music. Suitable for anyone who has just started out on guitar. If you are just getting to know 3 or 4 basic chords this course will be perfect for you. You will need to bring your own guitar.

  • Parts of the guitar
  • Tuning
  • Tablature (a much simpler system of music notation for the guitar)
  • Starter Chords
  • Strumming, rhythm and timing
  • Picking
  • Melody
Entry Requirements

Suitable for anyone who has just started out on guitar. If you are just getting to know 3 or 4 basic chords this course will be perfect for you.

Additional Costs

You will need a guitar and pen and paper. The tutor will advise you on any other equipment that you will require.
